           He graduated as a medical doctor in 1987 and completed his postgraduate and medical residency in Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery in 1990 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.

        In 1999, he completed his training in Facial Plastic Surgery in Canada and the United States, in modern university centers within the specialty, with the most prominent professionals, such as Dr. Peter Adamson (Toronto). In the United States he acquired knowledge in advanced rhinoplasty techniques with Dr. Tardy and Dr. Toriumi (Chicago), enhanced his learning in facelift, frontoplasty and blepharoplasty surgeries with Dr. Stephen Perkins (Indianapolis) and with Dr. G. McCollough (Birmingham).

          All past presidents of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Dr. Zanini is a member of the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery (ABORL-CCF), a member of the board of the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (ABCPF), a member of the American Academy of Plastic and Facial Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the Federation International Society of Plastic Surgery of the Face (IFFPRSS). These associations are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care and excellence in cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery.

         He held the position of director of the Medical Association of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (AMRIGS) during the period from 2004 to 2005, director of the professional defense department of the Gaucho Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery (ASSOGOT-CCF) during the period from 1997 to 2004 and served as president of the same association from 2013 to 2014. He is currently a member of the ASSOGOT-CCF Mercosur representative. Former member of the Technical Chamber of the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (CREMERS).

       He participates as a guest professor in national and international congresses. Dr. Zanini is the author and co-author of book chapters and research publications in the area in which he works. He belongs to the clinical staff of Hospital Moinhos de Vento.

         His practice includes international patients. Each medical appointment is carefully evaluated and a personalized treatment plan is developed. Patients continually comment on Dr. Zanini.
